Day One

Today was the 1st Day of our Move/Adventure across country. J wanted to start promptly at 9am, but I was still packing the last few items at 9:30; okay more like stuffing and cramming, but who's paying attention.

We packed our car so high, it cleared my Dad's garage by an entire inch! We had to make one final stop at the gas station on the way out of town and then we were off...just to find ourselves sitting on the 91 parking lot for 30 minutes.

As we crossed the Arizona state line the skies darkened up quite a bit and we found our poor luggage in a major downpour almost instantly. The closest gas station was about 10 miles away so a few of our clothes got wet before we could get there. The attendant was quite the entrepreneur, and charged J a whopping $1.50 for 2 garbage bags! At least they'll stay dry on the rest of our trip. :)

Our itinerary find us in Arizona for the night. Tomorrow will bring plenty of excitment as we experience the Grand Canyon for the first time!
